Lindsay and Blake met while working as camp counselors at Camp Seymour on the Key Peninsula near Gig Harbor, Washington. When it came time to take things to the next level, it seemed like the perfect spot to gather all their loved ones for their wedding. I just love simple weddings like this that are full of spirit. Weddings where it’s all about the people and their connections and less about the details and food. Lindsay and Blake were brave, fun, carefree and playful on their wedding day, which is exactly how I always felt at summer camp. I think the cabins, canoes and woods bring that out in everyone.

Pulling this one from the vault. Sometimes really awesome sessions get lost in the summer hustle and don’t make it to the blog in a timely fashion. It’s been happening more often lately, so I will be working hard to catch up before summer rolls around again. We haven’t had a shoot since February and after reviewing these photos I am itching to do some family portraits. I arrived earlier to spend time with just Ketti and the boys before Dad got home from work. I wanted to capture the different dynamics between the kids and mom and dad. Later we went to the lake for ice cream, where unfortunately someone’s half licked cone went for a swim. Tears were shed before a group snuggle made it all better.
